Meet the ramen burger: the next food export out of the Big Apple that's making waves of cronut proportions.

Hailed as the next food trend of cronut proportions, more than 1000 people lined up for the first taste of Ramen chef and blogger Keizo Shimamoto’s Ramen Burger on the West Coast of the US, after it debuted at the Brooklyn Smorgasburg food fair in New York earlier

in the year. The creation is described as “a 75 per cent to 25 per cent, lean-to-fatty, juicy patty topped with shoyu [a secret sauce that is soy sauce based], scallions, and arugula [rocket], all packaged in a ‘ramen bun’ made from Sun Noodles and a touch of sesame oil”.

If the cronut craze is anything to go by, this new export from the Big Apple is bound to make culinary waves on our shores soon.
