For her first podcast, the actress is sitting down with famous women over 70 to hear their words of wisdom.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is entering the world of podcasting, with her first podcast Wiser Than Me. The 62-year-old actress, who is known for her roles in Seinfeld and Veep, will have “candid, witty conversations” with women older than her, including actor Jane Fonda, author Isabel Allende and author Fran Lebowitz.

“In our culture, older women are rarely seen or heard. What a shame. We are missing out on the wisdom and experiences of a huge portion of the population,” Louis-Dreyfus said in a statement.

“I want to hear from these older women. I want to talk to them. I want to know how they navigate ageing and their tips for a life well lived. How they did it, how they do it and everything in between. These are the conversations I will explore on my new podcast, Wiser Than Me.”

Speaking to PEOPLE about the podcast, Louis-Dreyfus said it was “mind-blowing” to have in-depth conversations with accomplished women.

“Everybody is so different. We’ve really gotten into some surprisingly … in-depth and personal conversations about their lives, and life in general.”

Recently, Louis-Dreyfus was awarded a National Medal of Arts by US President Joe Biden, who praised the actress for “embrac[ing] life’s absurdity with absolute wit, and handles real life turns with absolute grace. A mom, a cancer survivor, a pioneer for women in comedy, she is an American original.”

The podcast comes from Lemonada Media and will run as a 10-part series, releasing on 11 April 2023.
