Cher and acclaimed gelato artisan Gianpaolo Grazioli, affectionately known as Giapo, have proudly unveiled their latest venture – the "Cherlato" gelato truck in Los Angeles. 

Cherlato embodies the fusion of tradition, innovation, and culinary artistry. With every sumptuous spoonful, it captures the essence of Los Angeles’ vibrant spirit while delivering a truly authentic Italian gelato experience. Cherlato is more than just a truck; it’s a testament to the shared passion of Cher and Giapo, elevating the joy of gelato to new heights and leaving an indelible mark on the city’s culinary landscape.

Cherlato isn’t just another ice cream truck; it’s a celebration of art, flavor, and nature’s finest ingredients. Giapo, the creative genius behind the whimsical gelato creations, shares Cher’s unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity. Together, they’ve curated a menu that pays homage to traditional Italian gelato while infusing it with a playful, Los Angeles-inspired twist.

The Cherlato range will be available at the Giapo store in Auckland CBD, exclusively, for five days only (Wednesday 9 August – Sunday 13 August).

Gelato aficionados can anticipate a mouthwatering journey through an array of captivating flavours, each handcrafted daily with seasonal, locally-sourced, and regenerative ingredients.

Cherlato’s offerings are a testament to the dedication of both Cher and Giapo to deliver an unparalleled taste experience. Among the enchanting flavors are the ‘Snap Out of It! Kefir & Cardamom’, ‘Breakfast at Cher’s Coffee & Donuts’, and the intriguing ‘Chocolate XO Cher’.

One standout creation, the ‘SoCal’s Coldest Avocado on Toast’, melds the creaminess of avocado with the satisfying crunch of breadcrumbs, embodying the innovative spirit that defines Los Angeles. Cher herself remarks, “It’s the gelato that gets you out of bed at midnight.”

Giapo, who is hailed as the “Michelangelo of gelato,” echoes the sentiment, expressing his joy at bringing Cherlato’s artful and delicious gelato to Los Angeles, and now Auckland.

The partnership between Cher and Giapo underscores their shared philosophy of promoting sustainability and craftsmanship. Giapo’s masterful creations not only tantalise the taste buds but also engage the senses in a delightful and memorable experience.
