Sotheby’s International Realty is the largest luxury real estate brand in the world. Their brand’s white glove referral program is a key differentiator, allowing network members to connect the most prestigious buyers and sellers globally.

What makes New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty different in a crowded real estate market?

We are focused on providing clients with a boutique agency style service whereby, when you choose to list with one of our Sales Associates, your home is only one of a few properties they represent. Therefore, providing a more A-list approach to how we service you and your real estate needs.  Our brand artfully unites extraordinary homes with extraordinary lives throughout the world.

Once a home is listed on Sotheby’s Realty, it will be exclusively marketed on more than 140 websites around the world. This network of interconnected, locally focused and globally aware Sotheby’s International Realty network members’ websites, receive over eight million visitors

What’s happening currently in the market, in particular the upper end?

There’s a huge amount of speculation as to the direction the market is taking after a slowish end to 2016, following the latest round of LVR rule changes. Seasonally, things pick up in late January as vendors take advantage of the strong summer and autumn selling months and the same thing has happened this year. Whilst some areas of the Auckland market are currently under price pressure, the upper end shows no signs of being impacted and in fact some recent high value sales suggest that there is still growth it this level.

What advice would you give to a seller of a high value property?

Understand where the best buyer for your property will come from, not the first buyer! With so much uncertainty around the world currently, it’s more important now than ever before to search as far and wide as possible when considering where the best buyer for your property comes from. Our global website attracts over one million clicks a month and overseas enquiries from the U.S, Europe and Australia are at record levels from both expats wanting to return and foreign nationals wanting a safe haven.
