What’s happening currently in the market, in particular the upper end?
There’s a huge amount of speculation as to the direction the market is taking after a slowish end to 2016, following the latest round of LVR rule changes. Seasonally, things pick up in late January as vendors take advantage of the strong summer and autumn selling months and the same thing has happened this year. Whilst some areas of the Auckland market are currently under price pressure, the upper end shows no signs of being impacted and in fact some recent high value sales suggest that there is still growth it this level.
What advice would you give to a seller of a high value property?
