It's time to awaken your taste buds from their winter slumber as Central Otago's annual food and beverage celebration, Eat.Taste.Central, returns this October.

This month-long event promises a delectable journey through specially created dishes at participating venues, accompanied by a series of exciting food and beverage-focused events.

In its seventh year, Eat.Taste.Central has become a culinary extravaganza. The event celebrates the region’s remarkable venues, chefs, and producers.

The 2023 edition of Eat.Taste.Central highlights dishes that pay homage to local ingredients such as rabbit, thar, venison, lamb, cherries, apricots, apples, honey, and more.

Chefs from participating venues have crafted their category dishes to not only celebrate the flavours of local ingredients, wines, and beverages but also delve into the cultural, historical, and heritage aspects of the region.

Wine lovers rejoice

Wine enthusiasts have two unique wine celebrations to look forward to: the Alexandra Basin New Release Tasting event on October 22 and the Central Otago Wine Experience event at Mt Difficulty, marking the final weekend of Eat.Taste.Central. This event offers a rare opportunity to explore and savour Central Otago’s world-class wineries in one space.

Don’t miss E.T.C’s other unique experiences, including a fusion event featuring Quartz Reef wines and Sanga’s Pies, Wine and Fromage at Domaine Thomson, and Burger Afloat’s Beats and Burgers.

Eat.Taste.Central takes place from October 20 to November 12 2023.
