Exhibition of Banksy’s art touring Australia
An exhibition featuring more than 150 artworks by Banksy is currently touring Australia.

The Art of Banksy: Without Limits has already opened in Brisbane, but will also be presented in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Visitors can expect to see original art including prints, photos, sculptures and more by the enigmatic street arist, as well as immersive physical and digital installations.

The exhibition has gone ahead without the endorsement of the artist himself, according to ABC News, who reports that Banksy denounced an earlier iteration of the show as a “fake”, saying it was “organised entirely without the artist’s knowledge or involvement”.

However, Turkish businessman and curator Kemal Gurkaynak defended the exhibition to ABC Arts, saying it’s important to share with people.

“Banksy underlines messages that could save humanity. It is about raising awareness of what’s happening in our world, what’s happening in Gaza, what’s happening in Syria, what’s happening in the Mediterranean. People are still dying out there,” he told the ABC.
