Northern Beaches pub, The Collaroy, recently reopened its doors to sweeping views of the ocean and sand literally at its doorstep. The Collaroy is a vibrant beachside destination for those who love to be by the shore. Relaxed and fuss-free, it offers a variety of casual dining experiences for locals to meet, eat and grab a drink at the ocean’s edge.
The venue was conceptualised by Merivale CEO, Justin Hemmes. Executive Chef Jordan Toft takes his inspiration from this and the venue’s spectacular location, describing the food as “simple, yet elegant food for a community that loves the sun, surf and sand.” The end result is a diverse beachside menu, with options suited to any occasion.
The ground floor will have an evolving offering throughout the day. From à la carte breakfasts and lunches in the day to snacks and wine in the evening. At night, it’s time for generous home-style dinners that will change daily. Think lamb and eggplant moussaka on Monday, pork and fennel sausages with roasted pumpkin and green garlic on Tuesday.
Upstairs, guests will find an open kitchen and two bars to choose from. Here, they can enjoy freshly shucked oysters, local seafood, meats from the charcoal grill and vibrant salads in the restaurant. Vinnie’s Pizza, the authentic wood-fired creations by pizza maestro, Vincenzo Biondini can be enjoyed throughout the day and night.
Restaurant reservations are taking bookings from 19 May.
