Inspired by the idea of rebirth, Aje’s ‘Reimagination’ collection plays with embellishment in reinvented silhouettes.
Nature has always played the role of the muse for Aje Co-founders, Edwina Forest and Adrian Norris and it’s even more evident in their latest Spring 21 collection.
Inspired by nature’s moments of rebirth “where bodies of water form and reform in a show of ever-changing beauty”, Aje’s ‘Reimagination’ explores new ideas “sprung anew”.
Feminine silhouettes have been reconstructed with “unexpected” embellishments, like mismatched buttons, patchwork denim and vibrant yellows, pinks, blues and greens.
In the spirit of reinvention, the designers have adopted new techniques such as dip-dyed tulle, dramatic pleating and raw-edged detailing.
The Spring 21 collection features ready-to-wear pieces, including Aje’s signature cut-out dresses, tailored suiting and ‘free cycled’ denim.
“Find each piece carefully crafted as a gift to the wearer, with elements of old and new, unique and special, designed to be treasured for a lifetime.”
Aje ‘Reimagination’ collection launches Wednesday, 30 June in stores and online at ajeworld.com
