Adele has opened up about how she’s raising her young son.
The 28-year-old British singer, who’s currently chilling in Australia before her first Down Under tour opens next week, is fiercely private when it comes to talking about her personal life, but she’s given fans an insight into what she’s like as a mother.
Opening up about the values she’s trying to instill in four-year-old Angelo, Adele says that most importantly she wants him to “respect women”.
“I’m raising him to respect women. He knows I’m a powerful force.
“He feels it at home, let alone when he comes to work with me. And he comes everywhere with me anyway.”
The superstar is reportedly planning to have another child with her husband Simon Konecki, 42.
The couple – who have been together for five years – got engaged in October during Adele’s world tour. She revealed at her Grammy Awards triumph earlier this month that they had secretly wed.
She referred to Simon as her husband, during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year.
Adele made a low-key arrival in Sydney last weekend, touching down in a private jet under the cloak of night.
She is reported to have kicked back on celebrity accountant and sailor Anthony Bell’s luxury yacht Ghost II.
The Rolling In The Deep singer enjoyed a trip on the 36.5m motor vessel this week. Worth $16m, Ghost II has hosted A-list celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Bono and Paris Hilton.
The powerhouse singer kicks off her tour in Perth on Tuesdday. Following this are shows in Brisbane (March 4 and 5) and Sydney (March 10-11). She will perform in Auckland on March 23.
On Wednesday, Adele accepted the Global Success Award at the Brit Music Awards via video link from a secret Sydney location.
Thanking her fans for the honour, Adele said 2016 had been “amazing” in both her personal and professional life.
