Addressing her audience at the ‘Weekends with Adele’ concert, the 35-year-old songstress humorously referred to herself as a “wife” while discussing Rich Paul’s enthusiasm for American football, contrasting it with her lack of interest in the game.
This isn’t the first time Adele has hinted at a possible marriage. Just days prior, the Grammy winner had referred to Rich as her “husband” during a live performance.
In a recent TikTok video from her Las Vegas show on September 16, a female fan asked Adele to marry her, leading Adele to respond, “You can’t marry me, I’m straight, my love. And my husband’s here tonight. He’s here.” When the fan insisted, Adele playfully declined, saying, “Oh no, I don’t want to try. I’m with Rich. You’re crazy, leave me alone.”
Adele was previously married to Simon Konecki, the father of her son Angelo, from 2018 until 2021. Her romance with Rich, aged 41, began two years ago after they met at a birthday party. They confirmed their relationship publicly in the summer of 2021, having kept it secret even from close friends.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Adele revealed her initial secrecy, stating that she “didn’t really tell many of my friends at the beginning because I wanted to keep it to myself,” and mentioned that “none of them believed it” when the news eventually surfaced.
She later praised Rich’s sense of humour and intelligence, calling him “hilarious” and “very, very smart” during an interview on CBS in 2021. Furthermore, in an interview with Elle magazine, Adele expressed her happiness and hinted at the possibility of a second marriage, declaring, “I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”
