Excited to celebrate what this land has to offer, the people at Kāpiti are passionate about championing locally grown ingredients in their range of gourmet sorbets and ice creams, all of which are inspired by the unique artistry of New Zealand landscapes and seasons.

With the balmy days of summer and early autumn behind us and the cool days of winter approaching, we can’t help but long for the deliciously sweet and perfectly tart tastes of feijoas and pears. Luckily, you don’t have to wait until next’s years harvest to enjoy these favourite flavours again. Lovers of our homegrown ingredients, Kāpiti have captured the essence of summer and autumn fruits with Kāpiti Feijoa and Pear Sorbet, a delectable infusion of whipped pear sorbet with ribbons of ripe feijoa.

Locally grown feijoas and pears are sourced directly from growers in the Hawke’s Bay, one of the largest horticulture regions in Aotearoa. Neighbouring beautiful vineyards and country eateries, the region’s pear orchards produce exceptional fruits, ripened by the warm sun and dry climate. A quintessentially Kiwi fruit, jeijoas similarly grow wonderfully in the sunny region.

The fresh flavours of these heavenly fruits are creatively reimagined in the whipped sorbet, the creamy notes a surprising twist that pairs perfectly with the sweet and tart fruits. Choose to enjoy the Kāpiti Feijoa and Pear Sorbet in novelty and multipack sticks, offering a burst of flavour for your sweet cravings, or opt for a scoop from a Kāpiti scoop parlour when out and about. Try the Kāpiti twist on a classic cocktail dessert with a refreshing feijoa and pear sorbet mojito.
