Watch the trailer for ‘All The Light We Cannot See’ based on Pulitzer-winning novel

Mark Ruffalo and Hugh Laurie star in this Netflix adaptation, based on the award-winning novel by Steven Knight. 

Adapted from the novel of the same name which won the Pulitzer Prize in 2015, All The Light We Cannot See is a new historical Netflix miniseries.

Set in WWII, the story follows a blind French teenager named Marie-Laure LeBlanc and German soldier Werner Pfennig. Their whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of the war. Mark Ruffalo also stars as Marie-Laure’s father, Daniel, and Hugh Laurie plays her great-uncle Etienne.

The novel was praised as being an “imaginative and intricate” story that explores human nature, and based off the trailer, the Netflix series seems to have embraced the imaginative and evocative elements, showcasing sweeping scenery and compelling war scenes, along with a emotive score.

All The Light We Cannot See will debut on Netflix on 2 November.
