In celebration of International Day of the Girl, Mattel has announced Barbie’s latest Role Models to inspire the next generation of leaders and dreamers.
New Zealand beauty brand founder and CEO, Brianne West is being honoured and recognised by Barbie Role Models for her work as an environmentalist and social entrepreneur.
As the founder of purpose-led companies Ethique and Nous, Mattel says West has proven that business is a catalyst for social and environmental change.
“It’s a real honour, and to be alongside women around the world doing incredible things. Also, having role models across all industries that are as diverse as the real world is, is enormously important,” says West.
This year, Barbie has honoured more than 12 global female role models with dolls in their likeness.
West joins the line-up of women including Shonda Rhimes (United States), founder of American television production company, Shondaland, and Pat McGrath (United Kingdom), makeup artist and founder of Pat McGrath labs.
