While Australia’s tourism minister is urging state governments to open borders to domestic holiday-makers, many of the states have signalled that borders will remain shut until the end of winter.
In NSW and Victoria, while borders have been kept open, local and regional travel is currently not allowed in the states for holidays and recreation.
For NSW residents the good news is Premier Berejiklian has given the go ahead for travel for a holiday within the state from June 1.
Here are some stunning places to visit once travel within NSW is permitted.
