Deborah Vance embarks on a cross-country tour in ‘Hacks’ season two trailer

The Emmy-winning comedy starring Jean Smart returns for its second season in May. 

The full Hacks season two trailer has arrived, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come for the award-winning HBO Max show. Starring Jean Smart as the legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance, and Hannah Einbinder as her young writer Ava, the second season picks off right where season one ended, as the two travel across the US to workshop Deborah’s new stand-up show.

Along with returning cast members including Jane Adams, Carl Clemons-Hopkins and Kaitlin Olson, Hacks season two welcomes a number of new guest stars including Laurie Metcalf (Lady Bird), Susue Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Margaret Cho (The Flight Attendant).

Hacks has won three Emmy awards, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Jean Smart, and two Golden Globes.

Hacks season two premieres on 13 May on Stan in Australia and TVNZ On Demand in New Zealand.
