In this exclusive interview,  Helen Hoehne speaks to the star upon the release of his new film, Belfast, reflecting his own childhood growing up in the Ireland conflict, the uniquely Irish sense of humour and his favourite dishes from home.

Written and directed by Kenneth Branagh, the semi-autobiographical film tells the coming-of-age story of a young boy and his working-class family as they experience the tumultuous period of the late 1960s.

Starring alongside Dornan in Belfast is Judi Dench, Ciarán Hinds and Caitriona Balfe. The film releases in New Zealand and Australia on 20 January 2022.
