Competitors make their way past the Sydney Opera House forecourt during the cycle leg of ITU World Cup triathlon April 16, the official test event for the 2000 Olympics. Competitors swim 1.5 km then cycle 40 km before finishing with a 10 km run around the heart of Sydney’s central business district. The triathlon is debuting in this years Olympics and will produce one of the first gold medals at the games.
