Eco-tourism in Sumatra, Indonesia, is helping to keep orangutans safe and happy. These kind, gentle tree-dwellers share many similarities with humans, including being fiercely protective of their babies. Ian Singleton, director of conservation at Pan-Eco housing, has been working to build a new nursery to look after orangutan orphans in North Sumatra.
