For the first time in decades snow fell on the cities of Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington this week, much to the amusement of New Zealanders both young and old. Labelled a once-in-a-lifetime Antarctic cold snap by weather forecasters, the cold weather is set to stay with more snow expected later this week. Our MiNDFOOD readers captured the rare moment.
