Pork Steaks with Italian Tomato Sauce & Bocconcini

Pork Steaks with Italian Tomato Sauce & Bocconcini

Serves 4

Ingredients

4 pork steaks (or pork schnitzels)

olive oil cooking spray

salt and pepper, to taste

380ml bottle tomato sauce

1 bunch basil

1 small tub bocconcini, drained, sliced

soft polenta, to serve

salad greens, to serve

 

Method

  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. 
Spray steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook steaks for 2–3 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Heat a grill on medium.
  2. Spoon tomato sauce onto steak. Top with a few basil leaves and slices of bocconcini. Put under grill for 2 minutes or until bocconcini is melted. Serve immediately with soft polenta and salad greens.
