Unwind with one of these rich Chocolate Hazelnut Brownies.
Chocolate Hazelnut Brownies
1/3 cup black coffee
180g butter, chopped
250g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1¼ cups plain flour
½ cup cocoa (Dutch cocoa if possible)
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 Preheat oven to 180C. Lightly grease and line a 30cm x 20cm baking pan with baking paper. Put coffee, butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until butter and chocolate are melted and mixture is smooth.
2 Sift flour and cocoa into a large bowl. Add sugar and hazelnuts. Stir until well combined. Pour chocolate mixture and eggs into flour mixture and stir until well combined.
3 Spoon mixture into prepared baking pan and bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and stand on a wire rack to cool. Remove from tin and, when cool, cut into squares. Dust with cocoa (extra).
