How To: Make Roast Garlic
How to create the perfect roast garlic.

Learn how to make the perfect roast garlic. The sharp flavour of raw garlic mellow once roasted. The garlic cloves soften and become creamy. Roasting garlic is an inexpensive and easy way to add extra flavour to aioli,  pasta, or simply spread roasted garlic onto fresh bread for the ultimate garlic indulgence.

How To: Make Roast Garlic

Makes 1 bulb

Ingredients:

1 garlic bulb
2 sprigs fresh thyme
olive oil, for drizzling

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Cut of the tops of the garlic bulb.

Drizzle a couple teaspoons of olive oil over each exposed head, using your fingers to rub the olive oil and fresh thyme over all the garlic cloves.

Wrap the bulb with aluminium foil. Bake at 200°C for 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves feel soft when pressed.
