Hot Spiced Milk and Rum
A glass of warm milk is always a winter winner but adding some rum and spices takes it 
to a new level.

Hot Spiced Milk and rum, with cinnamon and star anise topped with freshly grated nutmeg is a comforting and easy to prepare adults only drink for the colder nights.

Hot Spiced Milk and Rum Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

2 cups milk

2 tbsp demerara sugar

200ml spiced rum

2 cinnamon quills

2 star anise

nutmeg, freshly grated, to serve

Method:

Place the milk, sugar, rum, cinnamon and star anise in a saucepan over low heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat to medium and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and pour into heatproof serving glasses. Top with the freshly grated nutmeg to serve.
