Drop Of The Week: Villa Maria’s 2017 Reserve Clifford Bay Sauvignon Blanc
Celebrate Sauvignon Blanc Day with Villa Maria's 2017 Reserve Clifford Bay Sauvignon Blanc. It is vibrant and fresh, the perfect palette cleanser to start the weekend with.

Villa Maria’s 2017 Reserve Clifford Bay Sauvignon Blanc encompasses everything fresh and vibrant about Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the cooler Awatere Valley. Pungent aromatics of lemongrass, jalapeño and fresh herbs leap from the glass, with the classic flavours of limes and snow peas lingering on the palate.

The founder and president of Villa Maria Estate, New Zealand’s most awarded winery, has just started a new job – with his family owned company, of course.

Sir George famously founded Villa Maria in 1961 by leasing five acres of his parents’ farm near Auckland International Airport and planting grapes to make wines in the Croatian tradition.

The company now has seven major brands, three wineries, employs 250 staff, and exports its wines to 60 countries across Europe, North America, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia and the Pacific. Plus, it was recently named in the world’s most admired wine brands for the fourth year running.
