In celebration of Chocolate Ice-cream Day, Gianpaolo Grazioli, the owner of Auckland’s boutique ice-cream store Giapo, has combined his experimental flair and culinary mastery to serve up an easy-to-make dark chocolate ice cream recipe. This recipe is easy enough to try at home.
44g Samoan Dark Chocolate 70%
15g dark cocoa powder
10g egg yolk
Bring the all the ingredients up to temperature in a small pan over medium-low heat. Remove from heat, and mix with a stick blender.
Place the custard mixture in an ice cream maker, and churn.
This delicious homemade dark chocolate ice cream can be served with fresh fruit such as berries.
