Calming Almond Milk Chai

Warming spices, like cardamom, cloves and cinnamon combined with healthy almonds and the natural sweetness of dates makes for a nutritious calming drink morning or evening.

Calming Almond Milk Chai Recipe

Make this Calming Almond Milk Chai Recipe for a nutritious start to your day.

Serves 2

Ingredients:

1 cup almonds, blanched

500ml warm organic unhomogenised milk

4 fresh dates, pitted

¼ tsp ground cardamom

⅛ tsp ground cloves

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

ground cinnamon (extra), to serve

Method:

Put almonds, milk, dates, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon 
and vanilla in a blender. Blend for 3 minutes or until thick and creamy.

Serve sprinkled with 
a little ground cinnamon (extra).

Smart Tip:

Almonds are low in carbs but high in protein and fibre, they increase the feeling of fullness, thereby reducing your overall calorie intake.
