Cacao, Goji & Berry Thickshake
Start the day right with this tasty thick shake full of antioxidants and super foods.

If you know you have a busy day ahead and need to stay alert, clear and positive, then this smoothie will pull you through! It’s absolutely packed with antioxidants – raw cacao powder, goji berries and maqui berry and acai berry powders. You’ve got some serious antioxidant action here, modern science now confirms that raw cacao is one of the most nutrient-complex foods on the planet and has the highest concentration of antioxidants. It’s rich in magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, zinc, copper and manganese, too.

Makes: 2 medium thickshakes (300ml each)

Preparation time: 5 minutes


2 large frozen bananas, roughly chopped

10 frozen strawberries

1 tablespoon acai powder*

1 tablespoon maqui berry powder*

2 tablespoons raw cacao powder*

1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste

1 tablespoon goji berries

2 fresh medjool dates, pitted

¼ cups filtered water

2 tablespoons melted coconut oil

Garnish Cacao nibs*

Goji berries * You’ll find these ingredients at your local health-food store or online.

Directions Place all the ingredients, except the garnishes, in a blender and blend until smooth and thick. Divide between 2 glasses and garnish with cacao nibs and goji berries.
