Brisket Bao Bun Sliders


Brisket Bao Bun Sliders (1)
Made with Silver Fern Farms PURE 97% Beef Sliders with Brisket grilled on the barbecue, and served with tangy pickled vegetables, sriracha mayonnaise and a squeeze of lime, these soft bao buns are perfect to serve when entertaining.

Serves 10



1 pack Silver Fern Farms PURE 97% Beef Sliders with Brisket

Pickled vegetables

4 tbsp white vinegar

Juice of 1 lime

2 tbsp white sugar

2 tsp sesame oil

2 star anise, whole

1 small cucumber, sliced into ribbons

1 small carrot, sliced into ribbons

To serve

½ cup sriracha mayonnaise

10 bao buns, warmed

½ cup fresh mint leaves

½ cup coriander

¼ cup peanuts, chopped

¼ cup fried shallots

Lime wedges, to serve



  1. Remove PURE 97% Beef Sliders with Brisket from the freezer and packaging.
  2. To make pickled vegetables, place vinegar, lime juice, sugar and sesame oil in a jar and shake to combine. Add star anise and vegetable ribbons and set aside to pickle for 10 minutes. Discard star anise before serving.
  3. Preheat barbecue or pan to high heat.
  4. Reduce barbecue or pan to low-medium heat. Add burgers and cook for 6 minutes (4 minutes if defrosted). Flip and pierce burger to allow juices to run free. Cook for a further 4-6 minutes (3-5 minutes if defrosted), until burgers are fully cooked.
  5. To serve, spread sriracha mayonnaise on bao buns. Fill buns with herbs, Beef Sliders with Brisket, pickled vegetable ribbons, nuts, fried shallots, and serve with lime wedges.
