Beef Brisket Sauerkraut Burger (1)
Beef Brisket Sauerkraut Burger
With a creamy mustard sauce, swiss cheese, gherkins, pretzel buns and sauerkraut, this is a classic beef burger with a slight tangy twist. Using Silver Fern Farms PURE 97% Beef Burgers with Brisket grilled on a barbeque, these burgers really couldn't be easier to make.

Serves 6

Ingredients

1 pack Silver Fern Farms PURE 97% Beef Burgers with Brisket

Creamy mustard sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp wholegrain mustard

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp brown sugar

½ tsp salt

1 garlic clove, finely chopped

½ tsp ground allspice

2 tbsp French tarragon, finely chopped

½ tsp turmeric powder

½ cup mayonnaise

To serve

6 pretzel buns, toasted

6 pieces green coral lettuce

6 slices Swiss cheese

1 cup sauerkraut

6 gherkins, sliced

Method

  1. Remove PURE 97% Beef Burgers with Brisket from the freezer and packaging.
  2. Preheat barbecue or pan to high heat.
  3. To make creamy mustard sauce, place all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix to combine.
  4. Reduce barbecue or pan to low-medium heat. Add burgers and cook for 8 minutes (5 minutes if defrosted). Flip and pierce burger to allow juices to run free. Cook for a further 4-6 minutes (3-5 minutes if defrosted), until the burgers are fully cooked.
  5. To serve, spread creamy mustard mayonnaise on toasted pretzel bun bases. Add a piece of lettuce, a slice of cheese, Beef Burgers with Brisket, sauerkraut, gherkins, and add top bun.
