Aperol Spritz

By MiNDFOOD

Aperol Spritz
As with Campari, Italy’s other celebrated aperitif, the mix of ingredients used to make Aperol is a closely guarded secret but they include bitter orange, gentian, rhubarb and the bark of the cinchona, a tree growing in the Andean forests of South America that is a source of quinine.

Aperol Spritz is made with Prosecco, Aperol, and a splash of soda water and finished with slice of orange. It’s a bubbly, refreshing, and sophisticated cocktail for summer entertaining.
