We know that around three-quarters of Australian households eat pears but many don’t realise how versatile they are or know how to cook with them.
Australian Pears, the industry body for Aussie pear growers, has teamed up with renowned cooks and chefs, including Maggie Beer, David Bitton, Justin North and Vincent Gadan, to release a cookbook, Rediscover Australian Pears. It contains over 60 recipes from Australia’s top chefs.
Vincent Gadan, from renowned cooking school Patisse, has over 25 years experience in the art of dessert and pastry creations and has appeared on a variety of television shows from Australia’s Masterchef series to SBS’s Food Safari, he joins us today on the show to share his tips for pears and passion for all things pastry.
