Malala Yofazai, the young girl who made world headlines when she was shot by the Taliban on her way home from school, recently made a powerful address at the United Nations in New York, where she promised to continue to be an active part of the global campaign for girls right to education.
UNICEF Young Ambassador Hayley McQuire, sat next to Malala at this month’s UN Youth Assembly and was inspired by the young woman’s words. As a young indigenous woman, Hayley is also advocating for better access to education for Australia’s indigenous youth.
