Spicy Chilli Margarita

Spicy Chilli Margarita
Add some heat to your next margarita with this spicy cocktail.

 

Serves 2-3

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar

1⁄4 tsp chilli powder

125ml lime juice

2 green chillies, sliced

4 lime slices

125ml silver tequila

3 tbsp honey or simple sugar syrup

Crushed ice, to serve

Extra green chillies, sliced, to serve

Extra sliced limes, to serve

 

Combine salt, sugar and chilli powder. Dip rims of 2-3 glasses into some of the lime juice, then into the salt mixture. Set aside.

Mix together the remaining lime juice, chillies, lime slices, tequila and honey/sugar syrup. Use the back of a wooden spoon to muddle the mixture together. Strain into the prepared glasses, serve with ice, garnish with extra chillies and limes.
