These Brazilian Chocolate Caramels are a bitesized melt-in-your-mouth treat for special occasions, or just when you're craving a sugar hit.


Makes 10

3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp unsalted butter
395g sweetened condensed milk


Place cocoa powder, butter and condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes or until mixture starts to come away from the sides of the pan.

Remove from heat and cool slightly. When cool enough to handle, using your hands, shape mixture into walnut-sized balls. Roll balls in chocolate sprinkles (or coating of your choice), then place in patty cases.

Serve immediately or place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.


TIP: Brigadeiros can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
