Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Coming To Sydney

Meghan Markle has revealed her first overseas trip as a member of the Royal Family will be to Sydney for the Invictus Games.

The couple, who get married in five weeks on May 19, were in Bath, UK to watch the British athletes training.

Britain’s Prince Harry, Patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, and Meghan Markle meet athletes at the team trials for the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 at the University of Bath Sports Training Village in Bath, Britain, April 6, 2018.

During their visit, Prince Harry and Meghan spoke with veteran, Michael Mellon, who suffered from a rugby injury while playing for the Royal Air Force in 2005 which resulted in the amputation of his lower left leg.

The father of three children spoke with Markle, sharing how important the Invictus Games are and how last year’s event had really made a difference to his life. ‘I played both rugby and squash competitively and had been really fit. After I injured myself I told everyone I would be back on the pitch in six weeks – and ended up having my leg amputated.’said Mellon.

As Mellon said how excited he was for this year’s event Markle agreed – ‘She told me that she had never been to Australia but was going to this year’s event and was really looking forward to being there with Harry. ‘

The Royal visit was a real morale boost for the athletes who have a huge respect for Prince Harry and what paper writing he is achieving with the Invictus Games.

The Invictus Games will be held in Sydney from October 20-27
