Would you try black gin? Kiwis bring one-of-a-kind spirit to Australia
A new black spirit has hit the market in Australia.

The team at award-winning New Zealand distillery Scapegrace have whipped up a new concoction, with Aussie gin lovers now able to taste the one-of-a-kind spirit.

Scapegrace Black is the company’s latest premium gin, made with a unique combination of natural extracts to create the world’s first black gin.

The dark gin features botanicals such as aronia berry, saffron, pineapple, butterfly pea and sweet potato, distilled at precise temperatures to create its deep black colour.

When mixed with tonic, the unique blend transforms into a striking red and purple.

It seems the spirit has caught the attention of Kiwi gin connoisseurs, having sold out its 3-month supply in just 24 hours in New Zealand stores.

Now, the New Zealand distillery is bringing the popular Scapegrace Black to Australia shelves.

“We’re delighted to be bringing Scapegrace Black to Australia, this velvety New Zealand-made gin that will most definitely elevate your G&T experience,” says Scapegrace co-founder Mark Neal.

“Full-bodied on the palate, the signature serve is best enjoyed with a premium tonic and garnished with a slice of apple.”

Scapegrace Black Gin is available at Booze Bud and selected retailers across Australia.
