World Heritage Day

World Heritage Day
Perhaps the most iconic of the World Heritage Sites is the Taj Mahal, which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge famously visited.
On World Heritage Day we take you around the world to some of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Every year on 18 April, ICOMOS celebrates the “International Day for Monuments and Sites”. The aim of the International Day for Monuments and Sites is to encourage local communities and individuals throughout the world to consider the importance of cultural heritage to their lives, identities and communities, and to promote awareness of its diversity and vulnerability and the efforts required to protect and conserve it.

Here are some of our favourite World Heritage destinations. How many have you been to?
