Car seized by police in William Tyrrell case breakthrough
Police have made a breakthrough in the William Tyrrell case, seizing a car believed to have been on the street the day he was kidnapped.

A white station wagon belonging to person of interest – Tony Jones, has been seized by police in relation to the William Tyrrell abduction over a year ago.

The person in question was sentenced to three years jail on Friday after being found guilty of indecently assaulting a minor, according to News Corp reports.

Jones was reportedly a former neighbour of Bill Spedding, another person of interest in the Tyrrell case.

Police allege that Tony Jones was also a member of the social group, Grandparents As Parents Again (GAPA) who were thought to be a front, concealing a paedophile ring.

The seizure of the suspected car was carried out after police began investigating drivers of cars who were spotted in the area of the Tyrrell residence on the day of William’s abduction.

Mrs Tyrrell had reportedly witnessed two vehicles parked suspiciously on the side of the road that morning with their windows down.

Described as a dark grey, medium sized sedan, and an old white station wagon.

Police are currently forensically examining the car in question.
