What’s on: Doc Edge takes over The Civic for a special one-day-only event
Kiwi students protest climate change and an artist confronts the thief who stole her paintings - Doc Edge presents four fascinating films at The Civic this Sunday, 22 November.

What: For an exciting one-day-only event, Doc Edge will be taking over Auckland’s The Civic theatre to showcase four incredible documentaries.

See a sneak peek of the new Kiwi climate doco High Tide Don’t Hide, which shines a light on the young New Zealand activists leading the climate fight.

Emmy-award winning The Apollo joins the lineup, a beautiful film about New York’s Apollo Theatre, the place that helped launch the careers of artists including Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald.

The Man on the Island makes its world premiere, recounting the story of a reclusive man living alone in on a stunning and remote island in the Hauraki Gulf.

Finally, The Painter and the Thief finishes the lineup, a moving tale of the unlikely relationship between a Czech artist and the thief who stole her paintings.
