It’s been all eyes on the Prada Cup of late but fashion fans rejoice, there wasn’t a sail in sight at Prada’s Milan Fashion Week presentation, which streamed live at 2am NZT on Friday, 26 February.
The second womenswear collection since fashion tour de force Raf Simons joined Miuccia Prada at the brand’s helm last year, the collection picked up where Prada’s SS20/21 left off, taking inspiration from the ever-changing relationship between technology and humanity, and its evolution from being a sometimes-source of disconnection in our lives, to the thing that has brought us all together throughout the past year, allowing us to communicate and simulate a kind of closeness, despite being physically distanced from one another.
