Australian street artist Dvate has transformed Goorambat's giant 1940s silo into northern Victoria’s first silo artwork, sure to captivate.

Australian street artist Dvate has transformed the giant Goorambat silo in Victoria for the 2018 Wall to Wall Festival. “Silos are such iconic structures and they lend themselves to this type of work. It is a huge honour to be given the opportunity to paint this type of wall, but there is a lot of pressure because your work is so visible from all around”, Dvate explains.

“Silos are one of the most challenging surfaces because of the cylindrical shape, meaning the image wraps around the surface. I am also not particularly good with heights and have a few issues with vertigo. So along with technical issues I will also have to overcome some mental challenges to get this work done!” he adds. “I am passionate about engrossing myself in the local region and understanding the flora and fauna of a place. I care deeply about endangered animals and this artwork will feature a local animal that is struggling.”
