Dave Meinert rescued his puppy, Pegasus, from a backyard breeder when she was young. He managed to save her before she met the fate of her brothers and sisters ,of either death or deformity.
She was born a “double merle” which meant she had almost no pigment, and as a genetic deformity, would inevitably go deaf and blind.
Instead of focussing on the negative, Meinert decided to savour the time he had left with Pegasus and make her life the happiest it could be.
He created a time-lapse video of Pegasus growing up, documenting her healthy and happy days before her time was up.
