The World’s Largest MECCA Concept Store has Opened in Auckland
The best of MECCA Cosmetica and Maxima come together in one luxurious space.

The doors to the world’s biggest MECCA concept have opened on Queen Street. It’s the second New Zealand concept store – Wellington opened a couple of months ago – that brings the best of MECCA Cosmetica and Maxima together in one luxurious space. Cult make-up brands – including Urban Decay and Too Faced – are in great company with some of the world’s most luxurious and ground-breaking skincare brands, such as Tatcha, Drunk Elephant and Eve Lom, on offer.

“Housing over 100 brands that are exclusive to New Zealand in one shopping destination is a dream come true for a beauty fanatic like myself, and I am thrilled to offer up this concept to our Auckland shoppers too,” says MECCA Founder Jo Horgan.

Fragrance fanatics will be delighted with what’s undoubtedly one of the concept store’s highlights: MECCA Perfumeria. The luxurious space is home to coveted scents including Byredo, Diptyqye, and Maison Margiela Fragrances. New York City-based Le Labo makes its Auckland debut, so all those Santal 33 fans can finally get their fix.

The new store also sees Auckland beauty buffs get their first taste of MECCA Trove, which highlights the most sought-after new brands.

Fragrance, skin and colour specialists will be on hand around the clock to assist customers and new MECCA Beauty Lab and Play Bar provide space for beauty fans to experiment with the latest products and learn techniques. A total of 10 make-up stations will be available for make-up appointments. From Thursday through to Sunday, MECCA experts will run complimentary beauty workshops at the Beauty Lab. Those in need of a little one-on-one advice can also book 15-minute “Flash” appointments with a MECCA expert who will answer all those burning beauty questions.

MECCA is open now at 203 Queen Street, Auckland.  Take a look inside in the gallery below.
