Kensington Palace has today announced that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her third child.

Her Royal Highness, 35, is suffering severe morning sickness, as she did with her first two pregnancies, leading to her hospitalisation during her pregnancy with George in 2012.

All engagements have been cancelled in the meantime while Her Royal Highness is being cared for at Kensington Palace.

The happy news comes following Kate’s hints during a recent tour of Poland, where the Duchess was overheard saying ‘We will just have to have more babies’.

The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that George, four, and Charlotte, two, will have a new sibling in the new year.
