We’re used to seeing them in spectacular period costumes, but last night in London all our favourite Downton Abbey stars stepped out in their best red carpet attire to attend the world premiere of the highly anticipated feature-length Downton Abbey film. And the stars did not disappoint with Michelle Dockery dazzling in a glittering gold number and Elizabeth McGowan turning heads in an unforgettable electric pink gown.
The majority of the much-loved original cast including Hugh Bonneville (Lord Grantham), Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary), Jim Carter (Mr Carson) and Maggie Smith (the Dowager Countess), have returned to Downton Abbey for the television series’ big-screen premiere. The series originally was set in the early 20th century and ran from 2011 to 2015.
