When five year-old Miles, who was in remission for leukaemia, asked for his Make-a-Wish to be Batman for the day, the city of San Francisco and more than 11, 000 volunteers took it very seriously. They shut down the city and created movie worthy scenes for Miles, otherwise known as Batkid to save damsels in distress and fight off the Penguin. Naturally the world was transfixed by Batkid’s adventure, even President Obama Tweeted his support.
Now the feel-good story that gripped the world in 2012 has been made into a documentary, which will be screen in select cinemas later this year.
The trailer was released today, so stock up on tissues, because this moving film about a very special day will truly restore your faith in the goodness of people.
