Award winning photographer Tamara Dean is exhibiting a collection of photographic works, ‘Wild Researchers’, featuring scientists in the field.

The collection profiles young Australian Scientists out in the field and is a collaboration with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Australian Museum, on there currently till 13 December.

17 researchers in the fields of Marine Biology, Astronomy, Biotechnology and Mathematical Sciences are captured in the environment that they work in, be that a cave, the ocean, a forest, or under the night sky. Each of the Tamara’s subjects work on problems such as climate change, preservation of endangered species, and tackling issues relating to toxic industrial waste and marine pollution.

These sumptuous images capture the intensity and commitment of these scientists and how they engage with the land and their specific field of study.
