Luke Perry, who currently stars in ‘Riverdale’ and found fame as Dylan McKay in ‘Beverly Hills 90210’, has reportedly had a massive stroke.
Paramedics were called to Riverdale star’s LA home around 7:40am on Thursday (local time), TMZ reports. It is unclear what his condition is.
“Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital,” his publicist told Variety.
Perry is father to two children, 22-year-old Jack, and 18-year-old Sophie, who he shares with his ex-wife Rachel Sharp.
In 2015, Perry spoke out to urge his fans to test for colon cancer after a colonoscopy revealed that he had precancerous growths.
The growths were removed and Perry became an advocate for getting tested, with the actor previously telling Fox News: “Right now, there are 23 million Americans who haven’t been screened who need to be screened.
Yesterday’s stroke happened on the same day it was announced that the original stars of Beverly Hills 90210 has signed on to do a reboot, however Perry, 52, is not tied to that project.
His former co-stars Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris are all returning.
