Revisiting the best looks from the Haute Couture SS20 Fashion Weeks

The fashion world hasn’t been immune to the unprecedented impact that COVID-19 has had on industries around the globe. Anna Wintour postponed the Met Gala; both Paris and London have cancelled their Men’s Fashion Weeks while Milan has postponed theirs.

Earlier this week Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, French fashion’s governing body, made the call to pull the pin on the upcoming Haute Couture Fashion Week – you can read more about the decision here

Because we won’t be getting our usual fix of breathtaking haute couture creations come July, we’ve decided to revisit some of our favourite backstage photographs from the Spring/Summer haute couture 2020 collections.

Coco Republic’s new collection will transform your home

European elegance and chalet-inspired minimalism collide in Coco Republic’s breathtaking winter 2020 collection. The collection, which is available online from 1, sees over 120 new additions added to Coco Republic’s covetable offering.

The best elements of outdoor living are invited indoors this season too as Anthony Spon-Smith, creative director and co-owner of Coco Republic, explains. “We’ve taken some of my best selling outdoor chair designs and made them relevant in an interior environment with indoor materials that speak to a layered, comfortable home,” he says. “This collection also sees one of our biggest new lighting releases to date with new sofa and recliner additions that I’m confident will resonate with our clients. We’ve been designing a greater proportion of our collection and we have some beautifully designed and crafted storage, tables and dining chairs for the seasonal introduction,” adds Spon-Smith.

New Zealand’s alpine environment also served as inspiration for the collection says Spon-Smith. “Having just opened in New Zealand mid last year, the alpine environments inspired a modern aesthetic that we wanted to bring into our collections.”

Sumptuous layered textures, natural elements and new-season lighting designs come together to create a home that is warm, comfortable and inviting. Discover some of our favourite pieces from the new Coco Republic winter 2020 collection below and shop the collection here
