Renowned primatologist Jane Goodall to headline International Women’s Day event in Australia
The world-renowned primatologist is one of the five female advocates featured in UN Women Australia's International Women's Day events. 

At 87-years-old, Dr Jane Goodall has carved out a reputation for her groundbreaking work in animal rights and conservation.

To mark International Women’s Day on Friday, 4 March 2022 in Australia, Goodall will sit down with sustainability activist Linh Do for an in-depth interview about her life, work and activism.

“Dr Goodall will share compelling insights into her remarkable life and achievements as a pioneering scientist, conservation advocate, and leader, a woman who is truly representative of the United Nations global theme for International Women’s Day – Changing Climates: Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow,” says UN Women Australia CEO Simone Clarke.

“Dr Goodall has been a life-long, staunch advocate for a sustainable future – a women whose career and achievements embodies the essence of everything we celebrate on International Women’s Day and reminds us at the same time of what is still yet to be done,” said Ms Clarke.

“This year is an opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate the contribution of women and girls around the world, women who are working to change the climate of gender equality and ensure a sustainable future.

“We are excited to bring this very special presentation to Australia, to celebrate International Women’s Day across five simultaneous events, and via our UN Women Australia live streamed digital hub, which can be enjoyed from anywhere in the world.”
